KTP (Potassium Titanyl Phosphate) Crystal
KTP Crystal is the most widely used nonlinear material for frequency doubling of Nd-doped lasers, especially suitable for low to medium power density applications. It is commonly adopted for frequency mixing to generate red, green and blue laser outputs, optical parametric amplifiers (OPA) and optical parametric oscillators (OPO) for tunable visible to mid-infrared light. It can also be applied to Q-switches, electro-optic modulators and various optoelectronic devices.
Main Applications
- 1. Second Harmonic Generation (SHG) for Nd-doped lasers to produce green & red laser;
- 2. Sum Frequency Mixing (SFM) of Nd-doped lasers & diode lasers to generate blue laser;
- 3. Parametric light sources (OPG / OPA / OPO) for tunable output from 600 nm to 4500 nm;
- 4. Electro-optic modulators, optical switches & directional couplers;
- 5. Waveguides for integrated nonlinear & electro-optic devices;
- 6. Optical Parametric Amplifiers (OPA) & Optical Parametric Oscillators (OPO).
Product Advantages
- 1. Large nonlinear optical coefficient;
- 2. Wide angular bandwidth with small walk-off angle;
- 3. Broad temperature & spectral bandwidth;
- 4. High electro-optic (E-O) coefficient & low dielectric constant;
- 5. Non-hygroscopic with excellent chemical & mechanical stability.
